3.)Foreclosure will remain a public record on you for 10 years or more. (A short sale is NOT reported on your credit history)

4.)THIS IS A BIG ONE! If you are in a job or career where you have a security clearance or you are in law enforement, military, CIA, etc, a forelosure could cause your clearance to be revoked and/or your position terminated. It could also affect any future employment where a good credit history is required.(A Short Sale does not challenge MOST security clearances. This MUST be verified by your employer)
